In about 500 hectares and in just over a century, the Monterosso Forestry Farm has combined ancient farming traditions with the modernity of our day, rediscovering the cultivation of spelt.

Spelt is the oldest cereal, a friendship with man that dates back to the Neolithic period. In the Roman period it was the food base of the glorious legions.
Monterosso Select is our spelt, with unique properties, rich in protein, fiber, potassium and vitamins. A organic cereal by nature because thanks to its foliage mass allows it to be grown without the use of fertilizers and pesticides, and is well suited to soils poor in nutrients resisting low temparature and parasites. The company has selected for 10 years the seed Triticum dicoccum, the oldest and finest quality of this cereal, in collaboration with CERMIS, and that is why our seed is constantly kept in purity through a process that combines tradition and innovation ensuring.

The uniqueness of our seed is the result of a patient and rigorous work that has required over a decade of careful selection made in collaboration with expert agronomists.
